lost and found
04.12.2021—22.01.2022

A curated selection of anonymous and amatorial photographs taken between the 40s and the 60s and never seen before. These images are part of the collection of Cristian Malisan, who, for years, saved anonymous photographic material from the oblivion of time. Immersing ourselves in the past lives of these strangers is a fascinating journey through the miracle of photography. These vintage photographs create a vast collective memory, a universal kaleidoscope. The names, dates, and places are lost but the permanence of the emotions resists. And these clichés that no longer belong to anyone become the images of everyone. This show is an opportunity to explore the art of the ordinary, and the importance of vernacular photography considered the “other side” of art.
